31 Christian gift ideas that don't feel like Christian gifts

An edit for the giver who wants meaning without the merch.

The trouble with most 'Christian gift' lists is that the qualifier does too much work and the gift does too little. A mug with a Bible verse printed in a font no one has chosen on purpose is not a gift. It is a category.

What we look for

Things made by people we know, in places we have visited. Things that would earn their place on a windowsill or a wrist if you stripped the meaning out. Things where the meaning, when it is there, is honest.

What we leave behind

Anything with a stock-photo dove on it. Anything where the verse is the entire product. Anything that would embarrass the recipient to display.

The meaning has to be the reason — not the apology for the design.
